Wedding videographer in Portugal

Atlantic light, old quintas and a long table outside.

Wedding films for couples who choose Portugal: a palace in Sintra, a quinta above the Douro, the dunes of Comporta or a cliff on the Algarve. Based in Spain, I film destination weddings anywhere in the world.

A destination wedding in Portugal

A wedding in Portugal tends to move at the pace of a long lunch. Azulejo tiles on a chapel wall, a terrace of vines dropping to a river, the Atlantic turning silver late in the afternoon. The film should keep that unhurried rhythm, and the faces of the people who came all that way for you.

My work is documentary first and cinematic in the edit: no script, no posing, two cameras watching what really happens. Vows, speeches and the toasts at the table go on discreet microphones, so you hear the day as well as see it. Before the wedding I study the venue with you and your planner: the running order, the rooms we will use, and where the light falls at the hours you have chosen. I take one wedding per date, so that day has all my attention.

From a wedding I filmed in Spain

Belén & Álvaro

“We cannot describe in words how we felt when we saw the video. It is pure emotion, as if we were reliving every moment over and over again. Everything is done with exquisite taste and a sensitivity that touched our hearts.”

Questions

Getting married in Portugal: what couples ask me

Do you film weddings in Portugal?

Yes. I am based in Spain and I film destination weddings anywhere in the world, Portugal included. We plan in English by email and video call.

How much does a wedding videographer in Portugal cost?

Every destination wedding gets its own proposal, in euros, within 24 hours of our call or your enquiry. It depends on the collection you choose and how many days you want covered.

Can you work with our planner and photographer?

Yes, and I prefer to. I speak with your planner about the running order before the day and agree with your photographer who stands where during the ceremony, so neither of us ends up in the other’s frame.

Can you use a drone over the vineyards or the coast?

Only where local rules and the weather allow. Some places restrict drones, so I check for your venue before the day. The film never depends on aerial shots.

Our wedding runs over several days. Can you film all of it?

Yes. Many weddings in Portugal are a whole weekend: a welcome dinner, the wedding day, a lunch the day after. We decide on the call which moments matter most to you, and the proposal covers exactly those.

When should we book?

Six to twelve months ahead is sensible, and earlier for a Saturday between May and October. I film one wedding per date, so the date goes to the first couple who confirms.

When is the film ready?

Two to four months after the wedding, depending on the season. You receive it in a private online cinema with a 2–3 minute trailer, ready to share with the guests who came.
