Wedding videographer in Iceland

Waterfalls, black sand and ice on the water.

Films for elopements and small weddings in Iceland: the two of you by a waterfall, a handful of guests on a black-sand beach, a glacier lagoon at the end of the day.

An elopement in Iceland

An Icelandic wedding is usually small, and the land is the guest list. Spray from a waterfall, wind across dark sand, ice drifting in a lagoon. A film of it needs room to breathe: wide frames, long silences, and your voices close when you say your vows.

I am based in Spain and I film weddings across Europe and beyond. I work in a documentary and cinematic way, without posing or a script, and I record the vows on discreet microphones so the wind does not take them. Daylight and weather change enormously from one season to the next, so before the day we plan the order of places with you and your planner, and the times when the light suits each one. With a small wedding the plan has to bend, and I film whatever the day gives. One wedding per date.

“Watching the video brought back all the excitement we felt on our wedding day. It’s beautiful, full of details and moments we had forgotten but will now never forget. It’s a memory we will cherish forever.”

Questions

An elopement in Iceland: what couples ask me

Do you film weddings in Iceland?

Yes. I am based in Spain and I am available for destination weddings anywhere in the world, Iceland included. Elopements and small weddings are as welcome as big ones.

How much does a wedding videographer in Iceland cost?

Each destination wedding gets a tailored proposal in euros. You have it within 24 hours of our call or your enquiry, shaped around the coverage you need.

Which season should we choose?

It depends on the film you want. Daylight and weather vary hugely through the year, from very long summer days to short winter ones. Your planner will know the conditions for each place and month; I then plan the filming around the light you choose.

What if the weather changes on the day?

It often does, so we build the day with a second option for each place and some room in the timings. I keep the cameras protected and the microphones shielded from the wind. Mist and wind are part of the story, and the film keeps them.

Can you work with our planner and photographer?

Yes. On a small wedding that matters even more. We agree the order of places and who stands where, so the day stays calm. Your planner or celebrant will confirm the legal side; many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony there.

Will you use a drone?

Only where local rules and the weather allow. Many natural sites restrict drones, and wind is frequent. I check what applies to your places, and the film never depends on it.

When should we book, and when is the film ready?

Book 6 to 12 months ahead, earlier for summer dates. The film is delivered 2 to 4 months after the wedding in your private online cinema, together with a 2–3 minute trailer.
