Wedding videographer in Scotland

Castle walls, open glens and a sky that keeps changing.

Films for couples marrying in Scotland: a castle with the whole family, a hotel in Edinburgh, or a small ceremony in the Highlands with a few people beside you. One wedding per date.

A wedding in Scotland

A Scottish wedding film is made of weather and stone. Low cloud moving over a glen, wind in the veil, a piper outside the castle door, then a long evening inside with the ceilidh going. The light can change three times in an hour, and the film should keep every one of them.

I am based in Spain and I film destination weddings anywhere in the world. My way of working stays the same wherever the day happens: documentary and cinematic, no posing and no script. Vows, readings and speeches go on discreet microphones, so you hear the voices as they were. Before the day I study the venue with you and your planner, the running order, and where the light falls at the times you choose. I take one wedding per date, so that day has all my attention.

Questions

A wedding in Scotland: what couples ask me

Do you film weddings in Scotland?

Yes. I am based in Spain and I am available for destination weddings anywhere in the world, Scotland included. We plan in English, by email and video call.

How much does a wedding videographer in Scotland cost?

Each destination wedding gets a tailored proposal in euros. You have it within 24 hours of our call or your enquiry, shaped around the coverage you need.

What happens if it rains on the day?

In Scotland it is wise to plan for it. We agree a covered option with your planner for the ceremony and the portraits, and I keep the cameras protected so filming carries on. Rain, mist and wind often give the film its character, and I edit them in rather than hiding them.

Can we elope in the Highlands or on Skye?

Yes, a small ceremony works well with documentary filming, because there is no crowd to manage and the landscape does the rest. Your planner or celebrant will confirm the legal side; many couples marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony there.

Can you work with our planner and photographer?

Yes. I speak to them before the day, agree the running order and where each of us stands during the ceremony, so nobody is in the other’s frame.

Will you use a drone?

Only where local rules and the weather allow. Castles, glens and islands can have their own restrictions, and wind often decides it on the day. The film never depends on the drone.

When should we book, and when is the film ready?

Book 6 to 12 months ahead, and earlier for a Saturday between May and October. The film is delivered 2 to 4 months after the wedding in your private online cinema, together with a 2–3 minute trailer.
